When I was younger, I often thought that I wanted to have 3 or 4 children after I got married. I always loved children and looked forward to becoming a parent after I got my career where I wanted it to be. Well, what a difference a day makes. The price of the basic baby essentials are increasing exponentially. Everything is so expensive these day. Baby products like formula and diapers cost an arm and a leg. Also daycare for one child is at least half of the average monthly paycheck. I am now a mom to two beautiful children. Although both my husband and I have careers making decent money, we have made a conscious decision not to have any more children. Not because we would not love to have more, but because one of us would have to become a stay at home parent. If not, we would potentially have more going out for childcare expenses than one person's salary.
